Pricing Built Around Your Business

Accounting fees shouldn’t be complicated. Your fee should reflect the work your business actually requires — nothing more, nothing less.

Every business creates a different level of accounting work. Our fees reflect the services you need, the volume of work involved, the complexity of your affairs and the level of ongoing support you require.

This gives you a clear understanding of what drives your fee, what is included and how your costs may change as your business develops.

Business Size

The scale of your business, turnover and overall level of financial activity.

Accounting Workload

Transaction volumes, bookkeeping requirements, payroll, VAT and other regular accounting work.

Complexity

Factors such as multiple income streams, property, CIS, overseas activity or more complex tax matters.

Support Required

The level of ongoing advice, reporting and access to your accountant that your business requires.

A Lower Price Doesn’t Always Mean a Lower Cost

It is easy to compare accountants by monthly fee alone. But two quotes may include very different levels of accounting work, advice and ongoing support. At ATA, we price according to what your business actually requires. You shouldn’t pay for services you don’t need, but equally, we don’t remove important work simply to produce the lowest headline price.

We start by understanding how your business operates and the accounting work involved. Rather than placing every client into the same package, we assess the services you need and the amount of work required to deliver them properly.

Compare the Scope, Not Just the Price

  • How much bookkeeping is actually included
  • Whether VAT and payroll cost extra
  • How much access you have to your accountant
  • What happens when additional work is required
  • The actual work covered by the fee
  • Which filings and services are included
  • The level of advice and ongoing support
  • When and why additional charges could arise

Your quotation is agreed before we begin, so you know what is included and what you can expect to pay. If your requirements change significantly, we discuss the impact with you before changing your fee.

Assess the Work Involved

Agree Your Fee

We provide a clear quotation setting out the services included and the fee before the work begins.

A Clear Starting Point

Our accounting fees are tailored to the work involved, but these starting prices give you a practical indication of what to expect. Your final quotation will reflect the services required, accounting workload, complexity and level of support.

HOW MONTHLY PRICING WORKS

Clear From the Start

Your monthly fee is based on the accounting period and services we agree to manage. If you join us part-way through a financial period, we first establish what work has already been completed and what remains outstanding.

01

Current Financial Period

Your monthly fee covers the agreed services for the accounting or tax period we are engaged to manage.

02

Joining Part-Way Through?

We review what has already been completed and identify the work that remains outstanding.

03

Backlog or Catch-Up Work

Historic bookkeeping, overdue filings, reconciliations or corrections are assessed separately and quoted before we begin.

Important: Your ongoing monthly fee applies to the agreed financial period and scope of work. It does not automatically include historic, overdue or outstanding work from earlier periods.

Know What Your Fee Covers

Your quotation will clearly set out the services included in your monthly fee. Some services are included only where they form part of the agreed scope, while specialist or one-off work may be quoted separately.
